Earth Day with LBOLA

Celebrate spring and give back. We’ll plant life-giving natives at this spring-fed preserve, home to chorus frogs. LBOLA is a steward here on the corner, to the west on 176, and across 176 on the bike path. Park at the Rec Center and walk around the building. We’ll have tools, gloves, and snacks.

Roll up your sleeves and lend a hand at our IDNR-certified restoration along the Skokie River. Take a stroll through the meadow, pull garlic mustard, and help haul brush. Crab Tree Farm Bird Walk

Enjoy the diversity of the spring bird migration at our 35th annual Bird Walk at Crab Tree Farm. Last year, we counted 60 different species, including a pileated woodpecker, while strolling the beautiful grounds. Please arrive promptly and stay with your group.
